Card in a Box Made Easy

I don't care what the weather man says,
we're starting our spring crafting.

Cyndy already has spring flowers in her garden to use as this colorful backdrop on her Easter Chick card. Cyndy used the Box in a Card set along with the Easter Chicks to make this cheery little spring card.

You can personalize any Box in Card  with your own embellishments, stickers, paper flowers or paper piecing characters.  This is half the fun, so go wild, or not....it’s up to you.  Boxes fold flat for mailing or for storing. Each box set includes 3 different flap styles.
Sarah and Ninotchka used the Box in a Card for Valentines.
Sarah shares some wonderful quick tips and tricks to create this sweet box on her blog post
Cute Little Valentines by Sarah
Ninotchka made a Sweet Valentine Box filled with hearts and kisses. She makes the cutest little felt embellishments too, like the heart on the front of the box.
The Box in a Card designs come in 3 different size sets. A2, 5" square and 5x7. Each set includes 3 flap styles as shown. You will find a tutorial in the PDF included with the cutting files.
Enjoy and HAPPY SPRING!! Hope your local weather man is forecasting warmer weather your way.

7 Ideas and Inspiration for St. Patricks Day

Are you having a hard time coming up with fresh ideas to celebrate St. Patrick's Day? Today is your lucky day. Our design team came up with the following fun and whimsical ideas to celebrate the luck of the Irish.

1. Use pop up letters to make a statement.

Tracy says "The best part about these letters is they can fold down so you can mail them or store them without taking much room at all." Visit her blog Idea Closet for details.

2. Use a box frame that can be changed each holiday .

Jill says "They are easy to decorate and require little space to put on display" And if you love her glittery frame she will tell you how she made it herself. Brought to You By the Letter J.

Straight Outta Worship

Hi! This is Debb (Clickersister) and I have today's project for you, using the "Straight Outta" line! I decided to make this shirt for hubby, since he is one of the the Worship Team leaders at our church. It's a great project and they don't take much time at all. Just follow the directions on your HTV.

Yes, I got him to model for me! We've had a very mild winter so far this year, and we were able to get out and take a walk! Thanks for stopping by today!

This is my Happy Place.

Happy March Everyone!  This is Jill Cornelius again, and i'm excited to share with you another project that i created for My Scrap Chick!

Have you ever made a project for yourself that you just LOVE?

Of course you have (and so have I!) ...but you know what....I absolutely LOVE this project that i created for My Scrap Chick!

I usually don't make projects for myself...but you know what?  I think I'm going to keep this one!

Because....THIS is my Happy Place!  And i have the PERFECT place to hang this! My Scrapbook Room!

Isn't it pretty!

The entire project is made with only THREE different SVG files from My Scrap Chick.  The Pop Up Frames from My Scrap Chick include everything you need to create a Pop Up Frame.  Even an easel for the back.  My Frame actually has a LOT of pop dots between the layers so that each layer is truly set apart from the one underneath it. Also, Since i wanted the top three layers of my frame to be truly set apart from the base, i added a few layers of chipboard strips that are hidden around the frame on the underside.  This allowed me to add the gemstones and the Wordart to the frame and give it more of a Shadowbox feel.

I'll have a direct link to each SVG File at My Scrap Chick down below so that you can add them to your shopping cart easier!  But first, here are some up close photos!

Each flower consists of six layers, two of each petal size. They are super easy to cut out, ink and then stack.  I added a little bit of Diamond Glaze to the back of each to make them a little bit "stiffer" to mold.

Onesie centerpiece!

Hello Crafty friends! DT-Alma here, I wanted to share with  you guys today these centerpieces for a Baby Shower!

I have a friend who's having twins, a boy and a girl, and I wanted to help her with the decor for the tables so I came up with these cute little boxes.. that i made them into centerpieces!

These boxes are from the Onesie Gift box set for Boy and girl, I made the regular boxes which btw are very easy to put together, I sealed the box for this purpose then I hot glued a stick in to the box, being careful not to damage the structure of the box, added to a base, finishing touches and.. their done! pretty easy ha!?

I hope you guys like them, and be inspired to make your own!, for more projects and ideas you can find me at
My Cricut Side on Facebook and on Instagram, thanks for watching!

Lucky Rainbow Bears

Hello from Sue at Sue's Stamping Stuff!
Today I am excited to post my first project for My Scrap Chick blog!

I like a party as well as the next person!  Every March it is my turn to host our monthly Bunco group.  St. Patrick's is a built in party theme for my decor!  I made these darling little Bear treat bags from the Lucky Rainbow Bears file  and added several  little Milk Carton boxes as part of my decorations.

I used a mixture of paper piecing and print and cut for these projects.  My little Rainbow Bear is  paper pieced and the candy bag topper words are print and cut. That works pretty slick when you have a dozen to make! I filled the goody bags full of little "pots of gold" to finish them off.

It was hard not to eat the Rolo's...

I added money (and a rolo) inside the little milk carton boxes for the Prize Winners.  They always look forward to some  fun little craftiness when I am the hostess. These boxes are a perfect fit for this colorful St. Patrick's Day paper don't you think? I resized them so they came out very small...about 3 inches tall when finished.

Look at this sloth of little bears!
(yes, I had to google what  to call a group of bears)

Thanks for stopping in today-I hope you enjoyed my projects and will share yours with us on our Facebook Page!

Edgar Allan Poe Village

Hi, you're crafting with Sarah today!

It was recently Edgar Allan Poe appreciation day, and since I love anything macabre and Halloween I just had to make something to mark the occasion.

I found this candle stand and glass holder at my local Spotlight store.  I inverted the glass to make a cloche.  Inside it created a small village by using a My Scrap Chick Village Card template.

I cut the houses out with my exacto knife and then created a circle with the cutout.  Behind the village is a cardstock tube that has tiny lights on a copper wire.

Wrapped around the central tube are Edgar Allan Poe quotes, acetate bats ands books that I created using acetate pages.  You can see the tiny lights in the tube at the top of the photo.

The bottom of the stand has stamping, a bow and tag.

The top of the cloche has autumn leaves, skulls, a ghost and a glittery candelabra.

So there you have it, another way to use the Village Card template to decorate your home.

March Planner Pages by Shirley

Hi! I think I have caught the planner bug! Today I would like to share my March planner pages using files from My Scrap Chick.

My Scrap Chick Files Used

DIY Planner Pockets Horizontal
DIY Planner Markers
Lucky Rainbow Bears
Four Leaf Clover Trio

For the border on the left side of the first page I used the sign from
"Lucky Rainbow Bears." I used  the "DIY Planner Bookmark" file and my Cricut Explore to create a shopping list.

The second page was created using the "DIY Planner Pockets Horizontal" file. I used the sun and cloud and the bear with wagon from "Lucky Rainbow Bears" to accent the planner pocket page.  I added a border to the top and bottom of the page using "4 Leaf Clover Trio." I also added a "Coupons" label to the pocket.

Other Products Used

Embossed Brights by Craft Smith
Colored Cardstock from Recollections
Printed Cardstock from my scrap stash
